Gratitude

Dark blue-gray clouds are the best. Especially in spring. And as the backdrop for the Dallas skyline.

It makes me feel like the possibilities are endless. It makes me want to do something artistic. And something that matters.

And it makes me remember those days when I'd look around flat, dead Oklahoma, a place I never wanted to go and a place I was afraid I'd never leave, and feel glad that I'm in a good place now in my life.

I'm very, very thankful.

(No disrespect to those of you with a fondness for the sooner state. It just never was for me.)
