People 101

Didn't your momma ever tell you that you'll attract more flies with honey than vinegar?  The principle holds true even after you're through those grade school years when you're learning how to form relationships.  It is what makes you an effective friend, parent, spouse, boss.

Simple fool-proof tips:  (take notes, didn't ya know? :)

1)  If you see someone struggling, encourage them.  This will get results quicker than any other form of commentary known to man.  One way to ensure they fold and do the exact opposite of what you want them to do?  Criticize.  Yell.  Constantly nag.

2)  Recognize accomplishments.  This comes in especially handy in business and parenting.  If you have an employee or co-worker or child who is doing well, praise them.  Again, the quickest way to get them to about-face and start performing in the other direction is to nit-pick, criticize small, inconsequential details, or just fail to recognize in some way the positive accomplishments they have made.

These little gems will get desired results from people around you and are guaranteed to win you respect from those you come in contact with on a daily basis.

And that is all.
